Joining the research group

Dear prospective MC/DC and undergraduate students,

Our laboratory is one of the cooperative laboratories of the Graduate School of Information Sciences. If you want to join one of my research groups, you need to enroll in Graduate School of Information Sciences, Tohoku University.

Position availability as of Apr. 2025

• Research Student (before MSc): None for Oct. 2025 / Apr. 2026 entrance.
• Foreign MSc Course Student: 1-2 for Oct. 2025 entrance. TBD for Apr. 2026.
  (We are focusing on network security and identity federation rather than pattern recognition in recent years. If you want to study pattern recognition or computer vision, I would say it's better to find another lab.)

[Note for internship applicants]   Some people have asked me if they could come to our lab for internship. Unfortunately, there is no program appropriate for undergraduate student internship. We are sorry about inconvenience.

Notes:

• Some foreign students expect to earn living expenses while they are staying in Japan. Since the studies at Graduate School are not so easy, spending a long time for part-time jobs for living/tuition should be avoided.
